We are currently in search of additional Nutrition General Workers to support our amazing kids! In this position you will be able to physically work in a standing position for prolonged periods and walk much of the day. You should be comfortable in warm and cold surroundings, have the manual dexterity to handle all kitchen equipment, and be able to lift materials weighing up to 30 lbs. This is a full-time position with a base pay of $13.11 per hour with increases available for each Servsafe and SNA certification attained, up to $14.66 per hour. Full-time benefits include IPERS, sick leave, personal leave, healthcare, dental, and more.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing foods; taste tests to check quality of product.
- May assist in setting up service areas.
- Assist with cleaning and storing of food, preparation, transporting and serving.
- Correctly portion and neatly serve food items.
- Clean lunchroom and kitchen after service.
- Correctly operate all kitchen equipment.
- Practice safety precautions at all times.
- Cashier lunch/breakfast.
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the Board.
Physical Demands: The Kitchen Production physical job demands require occasional maximum lift of 30 lbs. from knuckle (10") to waist; occasional lift waist to overhead of 15 lbs; Occasional horizontal push/pull of 35 lbs. of force; occasional maximum carry of 30 lbs. for 10 ft; Constant grip strength of 20 pounds; frequent hand coordination; frequent bending, standing, reaching forward; occasional crouching/kneeling or sitting.
