Terms of Employment: 180 student days (some evenings), starting 2020-21 school year
Hourly Rate: $16.37/hr (10+ hours per week, depending on extracurricular schedule)
Benefits: This position is eligible for paid sick leave.
Position Criteria :
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to work some evening hours, as performances are outside of the school day
- Keyboardist proficient in sight-reading choral parts for rehearsals and playing medium to difficult level piano accompaniments.
Performance Criteria:
- Consistently practices in order to play at a high proficiency level during daily rehearsals
- Accompany (on piano) all of the Waukee Middle School curricular vocal music ensembles. Accompanying involves playing the vocal parts (open score) and accompaniment parts for rehearsals both during the day and at performances outside the school day.
- Record accompaniments into specified format as needed.
- Assist with music library.
- Periodic work with sectionals during a regular rehearsal.
- Ability to collaborate with others.
