Waukee Community School District is looking to add a committed and dependable team member to the custodial staff. The successful candidate will have a strong familiarity with all types of custodial equipment, enjoy working evenings, and be focused on creating a safe and clean environment for the children of Waukee!

Terms of Employment: Part-Time, year-round

Compensation: $14.00/hr 

Hours: 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.  (all buildings)

Desirable Position Criteria

• High School Diploma, preferred
• Custodial experience, 5 years preferred

Performance Responsibilities

• Cleaning to include vacuuming floors, cleaning desk/table tops, emptying trash, cleaning sinks and windows, sweeping & wet mopping tile floors, lifting.     
• Clean restrooms
• Operate a variety of equipment (vacuums, etc)
• Perform regular routine maintenance
• Perform deep cleaning
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands: 
The custodian physical job demands include: Occasional maximum lift of 50 lbs from waist to above shoulder; Occasional maximum lift of 50 lbs from floor to waist; frequent maximum lift of 30 lbs from floor to shoulder; frequent carry of 50 lbs 10 feet; occasional maximum horizontal push/pull of 20 lbs; occasional maximum vertical pull of 25 lbs; frequent maximum grip of 20 lbs; frequent climb to 8 inches; occasional overhead reach; occasional trunk rotation; frequent reach forward to 24 inches; frequent bending; frequent standing; frequent walking; frequent balance. PDC Level: Heavy based on maximum floor to shoulder lift.
